Republic Abkhazia in the context of geopolitical processes in the Caucasian region

The article considers questions of the recognition of the Republic of Abkhazia as an independent state and the principle areas of its geopolitical interests in the contemporary world. The authors discuss areas of relations with the main political parties of the Caucasus region: Russia, Georgia, Turkey, and the Western countries. The paper analyzes a model of the establishment of the independent state of Abkhazia.
