The calculated values were the average decadal values of wind speed, the elasticity of water vapor above the reservoir at a height of 200 cm, the lack of air humidity at a height of 200 cm, water temperature and the value of the maximum elasticity of water vapor along 3 raid verticals, the average distance of parallel profiles for the I, II ples and Lake Supper, the average monthly repeatability of wind direction. When describing the year, the values of air temperature, precipitation and runoff from catchments for a long-term period and the current year were used. The paper uses the water balance equation for Lake Valdai, as well as the result of the evaporation calculation according to the GGI formula and comparison of calculations with the readings of evaporators of different sizes (pool, area 20 m2; thermally insulated evaporators TM - 1 installed on the soil surface and in the ground, area 0.3 m2) on the coastal water evaporation site of the Federal State Budgetary Institution «State Hydrological Institute».
