The results of researches of the feed bin for coarse and juicy feeds PZM-1,5 with modernized working bodies

The currently known feed bins for animals have low productivity, a fairly high irregularity of their dosage. Тhey are also highly specialized in types and types of feed. In domestic feeders of the PZM-1,5 and KTU-20.000 brands, the uneven distribution of coarse and succulent feeds ranges from 30 to 45%, which is more than two times higher than the permissible agro-zoological requirements, and they are efficient only on crushed feed and feed mixtures. When developing new and improving existing dosing devices for shredded stalk feeds, it is necessary to take into account the significant influence of the technological scheme of the designed device and a number of other factors, such as fluctuations in moisture, density, fractional composition and geometric parameters of a separate portion of feed, which have a great influence on the uniformity of the distribution of feed materials as one of the main functional indicators of the quality of the process under consideration. The paper presents data on the modernization of the PZM-1,5 coarse and succulent feed hopper, which boiled down to replacing its metering beaters with a pin metering conveyor and installing a new combing eccentric beater. In addition, it was equipped with ripper beaters to stabilize the density of the feed across the width of the hopper. According to the experimental data obtained, in order to ensure the technological process of dosing stalk feed that meets the zootechnical requirements, it is necessary to observe the condition under which the speed of the dosing conveyor would be 30-40 times higher than the speed of the feeding conveyor. At the same time, the height of the beater installation, which provides a given uneven distribution of feed, can be taken within the range of 250-270 mm. The optimal rotation speeds of the beaters in such a feeder are: the upper beater - 335 min-1, and the lower one - 405 min1. The shape of the working body must also be strictly defined: for hay - in the form of finger knives, and for silage it is accepted as beater.
