Results of treatment of gunshot wounds of the neck in a local armed conflict

The material was an analysis of the results of treatment of 112 wounded with gunshot wounds to the neck from among the civilian population, which were received during the anti-terrorist operation in the Republic of Chechnya from 1991 to 2000. The age of the wounded ranged from 18 to 65 years, the average age was 35±6 years. The analysis made it possible to identify the main causes that influence the development of complications and death in such injuries. At the same time, such injuries are accompanied by a large number of complications - up to 59.8% and mortality - up to 36.6%.
