The results of the assessment of the breeding value of sires, used in JSC "Agrofirma Mtsenskаj" Oryol region

The article presents the results of the assessment of sires on breeding traits of milk productivity and live weight of daughters in JSC Agrofirma Mtsenskaj, Oryol region. It was established that the best on productivity of daughters were sires Klavier 1843 line R. Sovereign (RS) and Furor 2380 line M. Chieftain (MCh): +1082 kg and 508 kg. The bulls-sires Adam 167, Baron 87485 and Picasso 63463922 were the worst in terms of milk fat in daughters (-0.14, -0.08 and -0.04%, respectively). The best for all breeding traits were the daughters of Clavier 1843 of the R. Sovereign line. The daughters of most sires surpassed their mothers in terms of milk yield in 305 days of lactation, with the exception of V.B. Ideal (WBA) and Picasso 63463922 (RS). By percentage of fat in milk daughters only of three sires were worse than their mothers - Adam 167 (RS), Baron 87485 (RS) and Picasso 63463922 (RS). By percentage of protein in milk of daughters of almost all sires were worse than their mothers. The difference was made by the daughters of Clavier 1843, Udaloy 761400745, Furor 2380 and Yaroslav 11508035. Based on the research results, it is recommended to be more careful in choosing sires whose semen is used in the herd.
