The objective of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of oral anticoagulants in patients with pelvic fractures. The analysis of the efficacy of thromboprophylaxis in 54 patients with fractures of pelvic bones and acetabulum in early and late postoperative periods was performed. All patients used dabigatran etexilate. The frequency of thromboembolic complications and bleeding was assessed within 6 months after osteosynthesis of pelvic bones. According to the results patients did not have venous thromboembolism.
