Results of comparative analysis of ionospheric behaviour during solar eclipses in Novosibirsk

At the geophysical observatory «Klyuchi» (54.84° N, 83.23° E), four solar eclipses with different covering phases, duration, shadow trajectories and geophysical conditions have been observed. The observations were made in one geographical location, by facilities of the same type and using identical technique. This provided good material for the comparative analysis of the data obtained. Results of vertical-incidence ionosphere sounding have allowed us to estimate the delay factor of the response of critical frequencies and virtual heights of ionospheric layers as well as duration of these phenomena. The complex analysis has revealed a direct dependence of ionospheric conditions on a solar eclipse phase and local time.
