As of the beginning of 2024, there were about 350 digital financial assets (hereinafter referred to as DFAs) in circulation with a total value of about 60 billion rubles, according to data from the Analytical Credit Rating Agency (ACRA). A significant part of these assets were simple instruments corresponding to the direct payment obligations of the issuers and were similar to debt securities. The forecasted growth of the DFA market by 2025 was estimated by experts at 350 billion rubles. However, for the Russian financial market, digital financial assets were an innovative financial instrument that was incomprehensible to many economic entities. Despite the existence of regulatory standards governing these financial instruments, the DFA market was new, and investing in it involved certain risks, disclosed in the text of the publication mentioned.
