Risks of hydrological emergencies

The destructive activities of technosphere facilities, the constantly deteriorating environmental situation, the chaotic course of irreversible biological processes in nature are fundamental factors in the economic and social development of our state on the world stage. Solving such issues of a global nature is a guarantee of the health of the nation and the prosperity of the state's economy. Any actions or omissions that entail a threat to national security at its core deserve close attention, study, drastic decisions and effective measures. Dangerous natural phenomena of hydrological origin, which include congestion and clamps, floods, high and low water levels, floods, mudflows and avalanches, tsunamis and floods, have always prevented people from ancient times. But if earlier these natural disasters were extremely rare, then in the last few centuries, especially at the end of the 20th century, the frequency and size of the damage caused by them increased greatly. Absolutely all over the world, including Russia, there is a tendency for a significant increase in damage from dangerous phenomena of hydrological origin, caused by unreasonable farming in river valleys, increasing their economic development and warming of the atmospheric climate.
