The risks of the Russian economy under international sanctions

The article considers the Russian economy fs risks in the face of new challenges to the stability of its development, determined by the globalization and adoption of international economic sanctions. The internal and external factors of these risks are investigated. The authors determine the reasons which had led to a rapid depreciation of the national currency in November 2014 and an increase in demand for consumer goods, which caused a significant rise in prices on both imported and domestic products. The resolution of the current economic situation is possible by making amendments in the monetary policy of the country.
