Coordinate constructions and relations (on theory of syntactic constructions)

Бесплатный доступ

The concept of homogeneous parts and coordinate connection belong to different theoretical paradigms of syntax: homogeneous parts belong to syntax of sentence, whereas coordinate connection is a concept from syntax of constructions. The ranges of these concepts are not the same: coordinate connection covers a broader range of phenomena (coordinate constructions with homogeneous and non-homogeneous parts, expository constructions of various types, constructions with differentiating parts, possibly monosubjective polypredicative constructions). Homogeneous parts may function as a full-fledged coordinate construction if they possess a semantic of inter-coordinate relation. Such constructions complicate simple sentences because they add to it a certain syntactic meaning and relevant syntactic configuration. Homogeneous parts may also not function as true coordinate constructions but merely represent its basis as a sequence of independent word forms. Such homogeneous parts do not complicate the sentence but simply present more detailed information.
