Inventory revealed that the genus Parodia Speg. family Cactaceae Juss. in the collection of Nikitsky Botanical Garden includes 32 species. A brief characteristic is given: taxonomic position in different classifications, morphological description, distribution, main diseases, pests and peculiarities of growing in protected soil.
