The role of AggregateEU in digital transformation of the European Union’s energy system

The urgency is due to the deteriorating situation related to the politicization of the EU’s energy policy: the article examines some problems of certain areas of development of the European Union in the field of energy security, issues of the effectiveness of measures taken within the EU to ensure independence from domestic energy supplies by combining orders and joint purchases of pipeline gas, liquefied natural gas and hydrogen using the AggregateEU digital platform, and also pays attention to the prospects for further use of the considered electronic service of the association orders and joint purchases. The methodological basis of the research was both general scientific and private scientific methods of cognition, in particular, formal-logical, systemic-legal and others. Based on the research of theoretical works of scientists, as well as open materials on the results of the first four international tenders for joint gas purchases in 2023, the authors conclude that it is necessary to ensure that the EU energy platform meets the goal of creating an EU single market.
