The role of vehicle examination in administrative investigation of road traffic accidents

The article is devoted to vehicle examination as a procedural form of modern technical knowledge application in the administrative investigation of traffic accidents. The authors consider the problems arising when the vehicle expertise is assigned and conducted during administrative investigation of administrative offenses stipulated by the Article 12.24 "Violation of the traffic rules or the rules of vehicle operation, which caused minor or moderate harm to health of a victim" of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. The authors formulate specific proposals to amend the administrative legislation aimed at improving the reliability of the examination results.
