The role of the library of arts in implementation of the cultural policy in a megalopolis

The article discusses priority activity areas of the Boolyubov Library of Arts - one of the leading libraries of Moscow. The author describes goals, objectives, and features of the cultural policy of the capital megalopolis with regard to the activities of the Library of Arts (preservation of cultural heritage, storage, creation and dissemination of information, specialization of funds, support of cultural traditions of religious and ethnic communities, modernization of services, carrying out a variety of cultural events, including innovative ones).
