The role of cerebrospinal venous system in physiological functions and pathological processes

The review presents the main anatomical features and physiological functions of the cerebrospinal venous system. We discuss the current data on the role of cerebrospinal venous system in the formation of pathological processes, such as metastasis, infection and emboli. We show the importance and necessity of studying this problem by physicians of any specialty.
