The role of digital socialization in the process of modernizing political culture in present Russia: setting the research goals

For the world civilization including Russia such notions as information society, network society, digital society are not new ones. These notions concentrate on the fact that society of the late 20th century has been developing on the base of information and communication forms of interconnection; all the spheres of livelihood are dependent on computer, communication, network technologies. The article attempts to set research problems in studying the role of digital socialization in the process of modernization of political culture in modern Russian society. Digital socialization is considered from the new viewpoint - as a process of accommodation, adaptation of citizens to new conditions of electronic interaction and participation, as a process of culture learning by the digital society citizen. Bearing in mind that digital socialization is an accelerating process intersecting with the process of political socialization, we should acknowledge a big potential of digital socialization as a factor of changing the type of political culture. However, change of political culture type in Russia may develop in regressive or stagnation way.
