Role of trade associations in GR-management in Russia

Management in sphere of government relations is a particular type of management activity located at the crossing of three sector of society: state, business, sector of non-commercial organizations including business associations. There are three organizational forms of GR-activity (corporate GR, GR-consult and GR through trade association). GR-managers and specialists perform the function of establishing necessary for companies connections with government structures, represent and protect companies’ interests in governmental bodies. The article analyzes the role of business associations in executing this function in Russia with the focus on particularities of GA-activity of industrial associations. The article also analyzes the specific position of associations in structure «company - business association - government», and also their position in industry’s network.
