The role of Saratov Volga region roads in the economic development of the territory in the late XIX - early XX centuries

The article defines the meaning of roads for economic development of Saratov Volga region. To this end, the author considered the following issues: roads funding, the freight turnover in the main areas, specific trading features in Saratov Volga region, positive and negative factors in road building development, main markets held on the roads of the Saratov province.
