The role of the French language in creating the unique Canadian liberal tradition in the XXth century

The author of the article analyses the common cultural and social-political role of the French language in the creation and the development of the Canadian liberal tradition. The author concludes that the French language created the opportunity not only for the expansion of bilingualism and biculturalism but it created the conditions for some other ways of the Canadian liberalism development if compared to the traditions in the Anglo-Saxon worldview.
