The role of GABA-ergic mediator system in realisation hippocampal influences on the metabolic lung's functions

Experiments were carried out on rats for the purpose of study of surfactant lipid metabolism, blood capacity of lung, water balance and hemostasis controlling lung function in the formation of the source of pathological activity in the dorsal hippocamp, combined with intracerebral introduction of GABA into the lateral ventricle of the brain. It was found that in terms of increased activity of GABA-ergic mediation, the phenomenon of endothelial dysfunction in the system of the pulmonary circulation eliminates, pulmonary blood supply is restored, modified by dysfunction of the limbic brain structures, while maintaining disregulation disorders in the surfactant system and lungs' water balance.
