Role of geological model operation in economic estimates of oil and gas fields

The complexity and originality of oil and gas fields does assessment of such objects difficult, requiring non-standard solutions. For the most complete idea of a geological structure of oil and gas fields creation of geological models with use of modern methods of a geostatic is carried out. Generally at creation of such models variograms which show variability of some parameter depending on distance between two values of this parameter are used. The short description and the variogram analysis is provided in article and his role at geological modeling is considered.
