The role of globalization in the scientific sphere

Processes of globalization have played a major role in economic and cultural change worldwide. More recently, there is a growing literature on rethinking science education research and devel-opment from the perspective of globalization. This paper provides a critical overview of the state and future development of science education research from the perspective of globalization.
