The role of the state and civil society in combating terrorism

The article deals with the cooperation of civil society and law enforcement and security bodies in countering terrorism. The research analyses the anti-terrorist system of the country, provides experts’ evaluation of the civil society’s role in countering terrorism. The author has revealed the weak interaction of all parties engaged in anti-terrorist activities, determines the need for active cooperation of government agencies with the civil society and its institutions. The article offers a number of steps aimed to increase the synergy of the civil society and law enforcement and security in order to counter terrorism.
