The role of public-private partnerships in the conditions of economy digitalization

Every day the phenomenon of digitalization covers more and more spheres of human activity. All national governments and many transnational corporations are focused on it. As we know, digitalization helps economies to expand and develop, and at the moment this is impossible without the use of high technology and digitalization projects. The idea of long-term cooperation between the state and business, known as public-private partnership (PPP), which emerged in the 1950s, is currently very popular in many countries. Particularly because PPPs play an important role in the digitalization of the economy, as they ensure cooperation and collaboration between the state and the private sector for the development and implementation of digital technologies and solutions. For example, PPPs can collaborate to build digital infrastructure, such as broadband Internet access and digital network deployment. The state can allocate funds for infrastructure development, and the private sector can provide technical expertise and resources. Also, the government can act as regulator and set the rules of the game, and the private sector can provide digital expertise and experience. Finally, digitalization requires highly skilled professionals and the development of digital skills in the population. PPPs can help design and implement digital skills education and training programs by collaborating with private companies and educational institutions. This study has important practical value because it provides information and analytics that can be used to develop policy and strategic decisions about PPPs. In addition, the article contributes to raising awareness and education in both PPPs and digitalization, and can also be used in educational programs and courses related to these topics.
