The role and place of the Austrian oil company "Osterreichische mineral"olverwaltung in the energy structure of the EU and strategic projects with Russia

The role and place of the largest in Central Europe Austrian oil company Österreichische Mineralölverwaltung (OMV) in the energy structure of the European Union are described, as well as the features of promoting Russian-Austrian bilateral projects with the identification of new prospects for cooperation. The energy market of the European Union has been analyzed, external and internal barriers to its development have been identified, the features of functioning and long-term prospects for the development of OMV have been considered. It takes into account the fact that in 2017 a sufficiently large share of European energy (20,9% of the total energy produced in Europe) is generated by energy generated at power plants using alternative energy sources.
