The article reveals the modernization of the Criminal Procedure Evidence based on the rapidly developing information and communication technologies, the use of technical knowledge to provide innovative criminal procedural activities. The analysis explores the complex value of technical knowledge in criminal law, criminal procedure and criminalistics activity. It is concluded that the use of digital technology, computer equipment, technical knowledge in criminal procedure proving to optimize the activity of the investigator, the process of gathering evidence to make more efficient. The process of gathering evidence, based on the achievements of science and technology is not only effective, but also more civilized. Staff body of inquiry and investigative body will not need to use unacceptable methods of influence on personality to obtain confessions, if evidence can be collected through scientific and technical, sometimes even without the participation of the suspect. As a result of attracting competent persons increased reliability of evidence that leads to their objectification. Using modern computer hardware allows to identify new sources of evidentiary information, collect and attach to the case file new evidence. Achieved the purpose of criminal proceedings: protection of the rights and lawful interests of individuals and organizations, victims of crime, protection against illegal and unreasonable charges, conviction and restriction of rights and freedoms.
