The role of the presidential institution in the transformations of the political system in the Republic of Chad

The article deals with the transformations of the political system of the Republic of Chad. Attention is focused on the development of the presidential institution that represents the greatest power in this country. The scientific relevance of the research is justifying of innovative and stabilizing role of the presidency in the transformations of the political system of the Republic of Chad. The author discusses the specific features of the presidential system in the country and the political regime in a whole. The influence of internal political, sociocultural and geopolitical factors on the political system transformations is also described.
