The role of internet technologies in developing a modern pupil's information culture

The given article presents the problem of inserting and using the internet technologies in Russian schools as the main means of individual’s information culture development and formation. The readers will find out what the information culture is, how it differs from the information literacy and why it is necessary to form the information culture at the earliest years of education. The author made a research that proved the topicality of the issue and points out at the need of establishing a new education system with Internet technology application. There are some recommendations on solving the problem raised in the article.
