The role of the internet in the political sphere of society

The author analyzes the role of computer technologies, and shows the strengths and weaknesses in the process of the formation of the personality values in the era of digital communications. Based on the statistical data and the results of sociological surveys the article reveals the importance of the Internet in the everyday life of politicians, youth and older people. The author concludes that the authorities insufficiently use social media platforms in the development of civil society, the formation of a rule-of-law state and the formation of a political culture of citizens.
