The role of investments in innovative development

In this article, the concepts of "investment" and "innovation" were considered, their essence was revealed, their classification and interrelation were presented. The article considered popular types of investment, as well as the economic meaning of the process. Based on the analysis and statistical data, it was concluded that the topic is relevant, since in modern Russian realities, the development of innovative projects through investment contributes to the development of the economy and the development of small businesses, which will have a positive impact on the general welfare of society.
