Role of ASIC channels in physiological processes

The article considers the role of ASIC channels in the main processes occurring in the body. ASIC channels are involved in synaptic signal transmission. They also take part in neuroplasticity and memory. Evidence has been found of the involvement of acid-sensitive channels in the development of anxiety states, as well as in learning and mechanoreception.
