The role of social networks' cyberspace in modern sport

The article considers the issues of the impact of social networks on the development of sport and involvement in physical culture and sport. Some aspects have been concerned: the role of social networks in shaping the image, as a means of PR, the formation of the Internet addiction, the manifestation of the selfie phenomenon. The Internet is characterized by accessibility, it creates a feeling of co-participation in important events. Us- One of the negative manifestations of the constant use of social networks is the formation of the Internet addiction. The user, who every day spends 3-5 hours in the social network, fully immerses in a virtual life and begins taking it as one more reality. After carrying out a research, we have found that the Internet addiction is formed in many athletes. The phenomenon of selfism is observed. The necessity and inevitability of cybersocialization is also noted.
