The role of cultural factors in shaping the international image of the state

The article analyses culture as the main factor in the formation of the international image of the state in the context of the concept of "soft power". An attempt is made to systematize the views of modern scholars of the classics and of the national idea in the structure of the symbolic capital of culture, on some theoretical aspects of the model of formation of image of the country from the point of view of the predominance of cultural factors. The accent is made on consideration of positive and negative aspects of the practice of cultural cooperation between the two countries, indicates the need for cultural identity on the one hand and cultural dialogue between countries on the other side.
