The role of landscape basis in environmental assessment of agricultural lands

Бесплатный доступ

The distribution of water and nutrients, so necessary for cultivated plants, largely depends on territory landscape. The landscape is a complex of nature components (relief, rocks, sedimentary deposits, climate, water, soil, vegetation and fauna). These landscape components are interconnected and evolve as a single entity for specific territory. Agricultural land, as one of natural resources of the Earth, is material object of human activity in its interaction with nature. The study of landscape basis of agricultural lands in the forest-steppe zone of Krasnoyarsk Territory makes it possible to take into ac- count the structure of the landscape and its constituent parts under the land use of agrarian and industrial enterprises. Using landscape basis of farmlands allows considering physi- ographic conditions of the territory. Natural territorial complex (NTC) of land-use territory refers to natural-territorial com- plexes of the third kind, i.e. those transformed by a person in the course of agricultural activities. The main landscape of land use is the landscape of the south-eastern part of Kras- noyarsk basin. The structure of facies shows the combination of agrocenoses and remains of natural vegetation in the form of shrubs, wet and dry meadows. There are three types of tracts on the territory differing in soil-forming rocks and the type of soil-vegetation cover.
