This article explores the critical role of megaregions in the global economy, with a focus on the Asian megaregion. Megaregions, as large interconnected territories encompassing key cities and regions, are pivotal in understanding regional development and globalization dynamics. The Asian megaregion exemplifies a significant player in the global trading system, characterized by economic integration, vast labor resources, and specialized sectors. While it contributes substantially to global GDP and trade, challenges such as overpopulation, environmental issues, and social inequality persist. The research examines the megaregion’s economic impact, highlighting its role in technological innovation, urbanization, and investment. It also addresses the need for effective governance and sustainable development strategies to mitigate environmental and social challenges. Ultimately, the study emphasizes the importance of balanced resource distribution and cooperative governance to foster sustainable global economic growth.
