The Local Community Role in the Organization and Activities of Local Government

The concept of «local community» and its relationship with the concept of «population of municipal formation» is considered in the article. Local community is an association of people who influence on the activity of local selfgovernment, express interest in effective local self‐government, rational solution of local issues, development of the territory. The role of the local community in the organization and activities of local self‐government in various areas of local life is defined. A number of problems that negatively affect the development of the local community are studied.
