The article analyzes the degree of dependence of the Russian economy on foreign corporations on the example of the food retail market. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that, since the Russian food market has been developing quite dynamically in recent years, and a large market and high demand attract foreign multinational corporations, there is a threat of monopolization of the market and deterioration of the situation of domestic producers. The results of the study confirm that international corporations, on the one hand, allow developing the country's economy, on the other hand, they represent one of the key threats to national security. In this regard, it seems relevant to strengthen state control, including in the framework of antimonopoly policy.
