Governmental political and economic forums with international participation as an instrument of multilateral cooperation and diplomacy (on the example of the Russian Far East and East Asia)

Multilateral cooperation plays an important role in the development of cooperation between States, which positively affects the elimination of regional problems and provides opportunities for the economic development of countries. The Russian Far East and East Asia are territories that are actively used for the work of international political and economic expert platforms. Political and economic forums, which are a kind of platform through which the exchange of views between representatives of several countries has become possible, and which today serves as an instrument of multilateral cooperation and diplomacy, have become the most widespread here. The author considers the main political and economic forums held in Japan, China, North Korea, Russia (Far East) and Mongolia, and defines their role in solving important problems for the country that require international joint efforts. It was noted that such events are a promising format for the development of international cooperation and diplomacy. However, each of them has its own characteristics, often determined by the national identity of the host country and the direction of its foreign policy.
