The role of the national bank of the Republic of Belarus in management of the risk of liquidity of the banking system

This article examines the issue of improving the quality of liquidity risk management of the banking system by creating and functioning in banks an effective risk management system based on the implementation of the basic principles developed by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. The tasks are determined which, in the opinion of the specialists of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, are able to integrate an adequately formed liquidity risk management system into the overall risk management system of the bank. The main factors of the vulnerability of the banking sector of the Republic of Belarus to the liquidity risk are identified.
