During the Civil War in Russia, when society divided into the warring parties, the Bolshevik campaigning and propaganda among the population became an issue of particular relevance and importance, in order to hold power and win over the mass opinion. This paper deals with coverage of issues by the local periodicals upon the data from the Upper-Volga provinces having aligned with the Bolshevist regime for the whole Civil War’ period that turned to be strategically relevant for a young Soviet republic, while establishing the Bolshevik dictatorship.
