In the article the authors make an attempt to analyze the PR-communication in the Russia - China border areas in context of “brand-building”. They have come to the conclusion that modern practice of cross-border cooperation between Russia and China is be built with a deep understanding of complex socio-cultural, socio-political and socio-economic realities and processes. It should also involve a search of new forms and strategies for the PR-communication as the basis for practical implementation of joint ‘brand - building’ programs for border areas of Russia and China.
