The article discusses the need for the formation of ecological legal conscience as a factor that increases the efficiency of legal regulation in the sphere of ecology. This subject is considered by the case study of specially protected natural sites. The authors emphasize the correlation of the real effect of normative legal acts and the level of legal awareness of the society.
