Ensuring economically efficient saving behavior among citizens is closely linked to the use of government incentive mechanisms, including the implementation of the Long-Term Savings Program (LTSP). The purpose of this article is to analyze the key provisions of the Long-Term Savings Program, assess youth attitudes toward the program, and identify current trends in its implementation. The study examines key economic concepts such as “saving behavior,” “long-term savings program,” and “financial literacy,” evaluates the results of LTSP implementation, and investigates youth readiness to participate through an online survey of students from a leading Moscow economics university. The findings indicate that respondents perceive the LTSP as a highly promising financial instrument, with many willing to join in the near future, albeit with modest initial investments. Additionally, the analysis of the first year of LTSP implementation reveals a steady monthly increase in the number of participating citizens. The study concludes with key findings and policy recommendations.
