In article realities of regional elite, the importance of regional elite in management of political processes in the North Caucasus, mechanisms of settlement of international conflicts in the North Caucasus are considered, specificity of political extremism in activity of ethnopolitical elite is opened. Recommendations about stabilisation of an ethnopolitical situation in the North Caucasus are developed.
