The role of agricultural cooperation in resolving the problems of rural ecotourism development in Russia. Part I

Modern tourism has a lot of forms, one of which has recently become extremely popular in developed countries exposed ultimately to urbanization. Consumers of tourism services are choosing ecotourism increasingly frequently, in particular, rural ecotourism. However, the Russian sector of tourism services in this area is not developing fast enough. The article discusses problems that cause such a situation. They are associated with both macroeconomic and microeconomic conditions determining development of the entire tourism industry. The author also suggests the ways to overcome development challenges, including by means of the resources of agricultural cooperation.
