Role of modern information technologies in preservation of non-material cultural heritage

The article shows the significant role, which play the modern information technology in its preservation, taking into account the specificity of the non-material cultural heritage. The author analyzes the most significant Internet projects, paying attention to the creation and the development of the fundamental electronic library "Russian Literature and Folklore".
