The role of the USA in international relations of the new century in the light of “messianism” policy

The article considers the specific character of the US foreign policy in the 21 st century in the light of “messianism” policy and describes the ways and possible aims of its realization. The author analyzes preconditions and factors, which made the USA follow the given direction. The article presents the notion of “messianism”, its types and consequences in the earlier periods of modern history as well as nowadays.
