The world economy in the years 2016-2017 is at a crossroads. The main key trend is the gradual weakening of US hegemony, resulting in a slowdown in US economic development and the reduction of the US share of world GDP. The article deals with a number of priority measures for the conservation of global economic leadership of the US. Some of them are already being implemented in advance of a new US president, while the other part is only available for discussion.
