The article examines the role of customs authorities in the protection of intellectual property rights of participants in foreign economic activity. The urgency of the problem of intellectual property protection by customs authorities is indicated. The purpose and tasks of customs authorities in the framework of countering the movement of counterfeit products are presented. The analysis of data related to the protection of intellectual property rights for 2018-2020 was carried out. Measures are proposed to improve this area of activity of customs authorities.
